About Sequoia Financial Corp.

Sequoia Financial Corp. founded on April 5, 1999 by Deborah Maurer, now Deborah Gamber. Deborah is the current President of Sequoia, and a Financial Consultant with Securities America. She specializes in retirement income planning, utilizing numerous financial vehicles designed to help her clients meet their retirement goals.

 

Deborah obtained a degree in mathematics from the University of Colorado/Boulder in 1971 and has worked for over twenty years in a variety of problem solving careers which included, Computer Sciences Corp., The Boeing Company, New York Life Insurance Company.

 

In September 1994, Deborah was hired by New York Life to focus on seniors and specifically their need to plan for the future risk of long-term care. She was licensed through the NASD as a securities broker at that time. In 1995, she and a partner formed Sequoia Group, a Financial Services firm to specialize in brokering long-term care insurance with over 10 insurance carriers. Deborah quickly realized the larger concern to her clients involved the risk to their retirement nest egg and the goal of keeping it secure for the remainder of their lives.

 

Deborah Gamber completed courses in retirement planning with the American College and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council which is composed of attorneys, CPA’s and financial planners for ten years. She is also highly educated in IRA distribution planning through Ed Slott’s IRA Advisors national organization. Other strategic affiliations in her business are Harry S. Dent, well known national economist, Life Strategies Analytics.

 

She is a Registered Financial Consultant.
She is also a Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant.
